“The progress that Bryana has made with my son in his Spelling to Communicate therapy has given me great hope that he, as well as others like him, can be made a part of society rather than simply being pushed aside and lost.”

While we strive to make ourselves better each day, part of the process involves knowing what we are doing right! We so appreciate the support and feedback from families like yours as we work to help you grow.

I feel so fortunate to have found such a talented, patient therapist as Bryana at "The Growing Place Pediatrics" to do "Spelling to Communicate" therapy with my young adult son who has autism.  Bryana is one of the first therapists to offer this kind of ground-breaking therapy in Middle Tennessee.  After many years of ABA and VB therapy, my son regained limited verbal skills and learned to communicate his basic needs and wants, but reached a plateau and isn't very conversational or able to communicate his deeper thoughts.
Through Spelling to Communicate therapy, Bryana has unlocked my son's knowledge with the letter board and has given my son even more of a voice!  He’s been able to expand his expressive language by learning to spell his responses, which has been very exciting to experience.  He's not only been able to show how academically intelligent he is - he's learning to communicate his deeper thoughts and feelings in a way so that others know they are HIS words.
She totally believes in the ability of every person she works with and can support children with different sensory needs, interests and challenges to empower them to communicate and express themselves through simple, straightforward methods.
Spelling to Communicate therapy offers persons with autism or limited verbal skills the opportunity to become contributors to the world.  They have much more to share than we've given them credit for!  The progress that Bryana has made with my son in his Spelling to Communicate therapy has given me great hope that he, as well as others like him, can be made a part of society, rather than simply being pushed aside and lost.
Everybody has the right to communicate in a meaningful way - where they're able to not only express simple wants/needs but also share their intelligence, character, hopes and dreams and demonstrate to the rest of the world the insights they have to share. For this reason (and many more) I once again cannot recommend Spelling to Communicate therapy with Bryana enough!

We have been teaching our teenage autistic daughter basic communication, reading and math for several years now. Having been referred to by a parent from Atlanta, we first met Ms. Bryana this past October. We were amazed by our daughter responding to her on a scientific article, which we could not comprehend. For the past few months, Ms. Bryana has uncovered her hidden potential, while empowering us parents to work with our child at home. Our daughter has made strides in such a short duration, that the school is open to working with her. We strongly recommend Ms. Bryana, having known her to work seamlessly with autistic kids of different age groups and abilities. Give Spelling to Communicate a try! Thanks!

Just last year, I didn't think my daughter was capable of learning sign because in the past I had bought books and DVDs to teach her. She'd even had speech therapy before, but being diagnosed with severe intellectual disabilities, it seemed nothing helped. I could tell she was becoming frustrated with not being able to communicate with others, and that's why I am very grateful for Bryana. My daughter, now 16, is able to use more than 15 signs and is able to communicate better with others...

True, there can be challenges in raising a child that has Autism, but when you find out the things that bring out their personality you will be amazed. My daughter is mostly nonverbal and other people find it difficult to communicate with her. When beginning STC with Bryana, I must say it was hard for me to grasp the concept and think that my child could actually be learning something because previous therapy seemed to do so little. I have been amazed over and over again watching my daughter at each session become smarter, become more accurate, and show that she can actually understand everything and every word being spoken to her. It has been a blessing to have Miss Bryana and what she has shown us throughout these months. We have even showed her teachers at school the new skills she has acquired from being in STC therapy. Everyone is astonished by the skills Leah displays when I show them what we do in therapy! I am so happy that we have been able to participate in something so innovative for Autistic children! I knew my princess would help write history but I didn't know it would be so soon! Thank you so much!
